My Background

Before going back to graduate school to earn my M.A. in psychology I cooordinated therapeutic nurseries and parent education in a child  abuse prevention program, worked with families in a substance abuse treatment program and as a parent educator for a community college. It was while working with parents from a variety of backgrounds that I began to see the ways their children's behavior triggered responses in parents that seemed based on their own hurts from early life and on behaviors and beliefs that created challenges in the here and now. My desire to explore these issues led me back to graduate school and my current work as a psychotherapist.

I earned my M.A. in psychology at Antioch Univerity, Seattle. Additionally I have taken extensive courses at  analytic institutions in Seattle. I am also currently the director of the Alliance Community Psychotherapy Clinic , a program of the Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Study.
